Nominations for TAP Network "SDG16+ Civil Society Toolkit" Advisory Group

With the TAP Network's marquee resource, the Goal 16 Advocacy Toolkit reaching its fourth year of use, and given the extensive developments and lessons learned from these first four years of the implementation of SDG16 and the 2030 Agenda, the TAP Network will look to update the Goal 16 Advocacy Toolkit resource to better reflect the current state of SDG16 implementation, as the community turns its focus towards a Decade of Action for the SDGs, with a particular focus on enhancing action from civil society at the national level. Additionally, a revision of the toolkit is necessary to bring CSOs and nongovernmental stakeholders up to date with the wealth of knowledge gained through peer-learning, best practices and lessons learned within the SDG16 community over the past four years.

The drafting of this "SDG16+ Civil Society Toolkit" will be supported by an “advisory group” of up to 8 experts from civil society, to help provide guidance to the consultant at various stages of the drafting process. This Advisory Group will be comprised of experts that work closely on SDG16+ and around the 2030 Agenda more broadly, who are able to dedicate adequate time to the drafting of this Toolkit over the next few months. This advisory group would have the opportunity to provide comments/edits to various outlines and drafts of the Toolkit, and will be expected to contribute their expertise around SDG16+ issues throughout the drafting process. The advisory group will work closely with TAP's SDG16+ Civil Society Toolkit consultant, who will coordinate the drafting of this Toolkit, as well as with the TAP Secretariat and the TAP Steering Committee.
These Advisory Group roles are open to all TAP Network Partners only, who will be identified through an open nomination and selection process. The TAP Network Steering Committee will decide on the final composition of this Advisory Group, based on the overall expertise of the applicants.

The Advisory Group will be expected to contribute in the following ways:
- Work closely with the TAP Coordinator and consultant to provide timely feedback on the content for the resource
- Help guide and procure a diverse range of content for the resource, including case studies and other tools
- Contribute to communications and outreach planning and activities related to the launch and roll-out of the resource
